30-something Hilary Duff banking on millennial nostalgia for comeback to music scene with new material

If you grew up watching the Lizzie McGuire movie, you’ll know that perhaps, this is what dreams are made of. Post-acting in the Lizzie McGuire series and the Lizzie McGuire movie, Hilary Duff went into the music side of things. Duff’s elder sister Haylie is also in the music scene, by the way. Releasing hits like So Yesterday and Come Clean, this possible comeback already spells excitement.

Duff is married to current husband Matthew Koma, a musician who has also helped her and encouraged her to pursue new sounds.

Duff and Koma have three children together and one from a previous marriage.

Motherhood and acting have been her focus, since the release of her final album in 2015, exactly a decade ago.

Understandably, Duff is nervous about her comeback. In fact, she herself has said previously that she was unsure about whether she will be part of the music industry again.

So far, the plan is just to make music that fans and people will love, not so much about making a new full album, now that she has matured and more key responsibilities as an adult.

However, sources indicate that millennial nostalgia is more than enough as a reason for her comeback. Similar singer-actresses have all made the same move.

While acting is her main passion, Duff has previously collaborated with Good Charlotte’s Joel Madden, Koma, as well as songwriter Kara DioGuardi.
