Wonderful, whimsical Christmas gifts you can wish for

image

There’s less than a fortnight to Christmas day! Oh, the familiar sight of Christmas trees, candy canes, and gift boxes. Yup, there we go again. The season to be merry is here. I hope you’ve gotten your Christmas gifts ready! But if you haven’t, you can always sit around, hoping that Santa will come and chimney your desired gift(s) to you. Okay, who am I kidding?

Picking out suitable gifts for anyone especially on an occasion like Christmas can be time-consuming and challenging. Well, what if I told you that getting gifts for someone doesn’t have to be met with despair? Here are some gift ideas that will probably delight and amuse anyone and everyone.

  1. The exquisite essential oil diffuser

As part of a gift exchange in my former office, I once got an essential oil diffuser for one of my ex-colleagues but wasn’t very sure if she really liked it. It was during one of our lunch breaks when I casually managed to ask her about it. I was quite surprised and delighted to find out that she had put it in her room, which goes to show how much she appreciated the gift.

  1. The grand gingerbread house

The gingerbread house is probably most appropriate for those who can appreciate pastries, as well as families with children who can handle ginger and candy, as it has certain levels of sweetness and spiciness. My family bought it as a Thank You gift for someone. Personally, I think the gingerbread house is a grand yet whimsical gift that will definitely cheer someone up, and make him or her laugh. ‘Tis the season to be jolly, ain’t it?

  1. The Christmas-sy coin box

A coin box, or piggy bank, is a practical gift. I came across the coin box while cleaning my study shelves the other

day. I’m still trying to figure out how I ended up with two of those colourful Christmas-sy coin boxes!

  1. Mini Santa candle holder with rack

On another gift exchange exercise, I got another ex-colleague a mini Santa candle holder that comes with a rack. A gift that has dual functions! I didn’t think I was able to spot such a gift, initially. My ex-colleague eventually thanked me for the “very cute” gift.

  1. The trendy jewellery box

If you want a break from everything Christmas-sy, a jewellery box might be a better bet. You can choose from the various designs, shapes, sizes and trends. Depending on the person’s age, tastes and preferences, these jewellery boxes can be found at chain bookstores and departmental stores.

  1. The hand-painted key holder

To show your sincerity and willingness to put in the effort in finding the most suitable gift, a key holder can be one of your options. These key holders come in many shapes, sizes and designs. Key holders are fancy yet practical to have. Be sure to be smarter when it comes to selecting the most appropriate ones. Do take note that these items are fragile, so you would need to exercise extra caution when handling and wrapping them.

There you have it! I hope you find this list of gift ideas useful and inspiring!
