Bastille Day – Ringing in France’s Independence Day

image

Every year on 14 July, France observes its National Day or Independence Day with celebrations across the country. In English-speaking countries, the day is known as Bastille Day, during which the storming of the Bastille (then in 1789) is commemorated. In conjunction with this special occasion, the Alliance Francaise de Kuala Lumpur will be having an evening of fun-filled entertainment. This is also your chance to savour some good French food. The acts performing that particular evening include Malaysian Dani Komari, known for her vintage-sounding vocals as well as Dizkopolis, the Malaysian deejay duo. Ready for a French frenzy? Remember to RSVP to this free-entry event, otherwise you’ll not be allowed to go into the premises. For daring Peugeot fans, 14 July 2024 might  be your day when you get to test drive one! The event will begin at 5pm and is expected to end around 10pm. Event attendees are strongly advised to take public transport or e-hailing services, as parking spaces will be limited and car entry is prohibited.
