You can see for yourself how many people are waiting for Dick Whittington, a Christmas pantomime, to premiere tonight at 11pm MYT. Dick Whittington is based on folklore and the people from British history. Of course, you can expect a slight twist – to keep up with the times and current events. Both the official National Theatre and The Shows Must Go On channels on YouTube will broadcast the show for your viewing pleasure.
Interestingly, the recording chosen to be shown was from a live show held on 15 December 2020, before London entered into more challenging phases of the current situation, making the NT bring shows online – once again.
Previously, the NT had re-opened to live shows in late-October 2020.
I guess my dream came true, as I’ve always wanted a NT production to be broadcast on The Shows Must Go On channel – for free.
Running time is slightly over two hours and subtitles are provided.
You can catch it until 8AM, 28 December 2020 MYT.
