Up next on YouTube: The Railway Children, an adaptation

As I’m typing this, 330 people are waiting for the premiere of The Railway Children, part of The Shows Must Go On series on the streaming platform YouTube. Be sure to tune in from 10pm today – that’s according to the timezone where I’m watching from.

Edith Nesbit, the woman who inspired the adaptation, was a bold woman who, among other things, cut her hair during the Victorian era. Separately, several screen adaptations of her work were made. Also, Nesbit’s The Railway Children has never gone out of print.

A bit on the story: Three children are forced to relocate with their mother after something happens to their father. It so happens that their new place is near a railway station, where they make friends with the railway porter and well, little do they know that they are set for the ride of their lives!

Damian Cruden and Mike Kenny are a few of the key people behind this English adaptation for the stage.
