Kiiras’s Killer track ‘Ziller’ (2025) featured by Hokkien bank via 2025 digital concert series to commemorate 90 years of service, inspire the coming 90

Thanks to the recent digital concert series by the Singapore-based bank, Kiiras was granted more exposure to connect with fans, both existing and new.  In 2025, UOB celebrated 90 years of service. As a token of appreciation to customers and other stakeholders, UOB Afterhours was born as a way of reimagining their banking outlets and private bank suites in Singapore, outside of the standard operating hours – making it a more proximate musical opportunity.

The series can be interpreted as a step further into the digital world, following the launch of their own forward-looking banking app(s), other than website, updated to reveal a sleeker, neater homepage, interface, giving users a more visual and (hopefully) friendly experience.

‘Ki’ is the South Korean word for energy, while ‘ras’ is a reference to the word ‘rascal’, as found in the English language, meaning naughty, mischievous, and bold. Interestingly, ‘Ki’ is also the Japanese term for energy. So, they’re seriously living up to their name, if you’ve been following their work, updates, music, dance, choreography, and wardrobe choices.

In this version, provided and performed in collaboration with a banking institution, the vocals are simply outstanding, coupled with their dance and choreography. Although not a supergroup like many South Korean popular bands and boygroups, a six-member group coordinating choreography and singing at the same time is no joke. With the ever-growing number of South Korean pop music, groups as well, they have to constantly rethink strategies and ways to stay up-to-date and fresh for fans.

Their plus point – there are members from South Korea, Japan, and Malaysia. Frontwoman Alicia Wong Lingling hails from Klang, Malaysia, and her native tongue is Cantonese, although she is also fluent in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin. She is also a fan of the Korean language and is the eldest member, making her the go-to person for mentoring and guidance from the other members. Kurumi is a Korean-speaking and English-speaking Japanese. South Korean Harin was a top student for the duration of her junior high school. Doyeon is currently a 16-year-old student in the theatre and film department, which likely explains her confidence level when on stage and performing. Roah is the Maknae and the Main vocalist of the group. Kylie is an English-speaking, South Korean-born. Kylie is the father figure of the group, making this group balanced.

Kiiras mixes styles of South Korean pop, hip hop and country to remain trendy, relevant, but also fresh, neat and clear, in line with their vision.

For a budding and young group, their energy is surely infectious, consistent, and inspiring.

The UOB Afterhours concert series is also part of a broader initiative that includes: -

“Tomorrow with UOB” – a futuristic light projection

UOB Gallery which depicts the bank’s history

Education support worth SGD30 million, for eligible scholars and recipients across ASEAN.

The performance was filmed at one of UOB’s Private Bank Suites.

Kiiras is part of the 5th generation of K-Pop groups.

The performance has been posted on the bank’s social media platforms:-

Tik Tok
Instagram

YouTube channel

It has been shared by the banking group as well as the girlgroup under their respective social media handles.

The bank was founded by a Sarawakian Hokkien businessman, but chose to have Singapore as its headquarters due to proximity to more Hokkien clients, as well as other factors such as Singapore’s economic environment and status as a recognised financial hub in the world.
