What’s next on YouTube? - Cats (the stage musical)

image

Yes! Cats is set to be broadcast for free on YouTube from Saturday 2AM MYT.

Earlier this year, Cats (under the international tour) was set to perform at Malaysia’s Istana Budaya in KL. However, all KL shows were eventually axed, as announced in late-2019.

So, those of you disappointed fans can now watch the show at your own pace for free, provided you’re connected to the Internet and you know how to access YouTube.

Elaine Page, Jacob Brent and Sir John Mills are part of the cast members of the 1998 production, chosen for streaming purposes.

The Andrew Lloyd Webber adaptation is based on TS Elliott’s poetry book.

Last week, the full show of By Jeeves was aired. Other full shows including The Phantom of the Opera and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat have been put up and subsequently removed, with certain clips still available. All musicals, available for free as many are urged to stay home, will be available for a limited period on a dedicated YouTube channel.
