As the world’s pioneer in digital colour-changing nails, iPolish is set to transform the way you do your nails. Imagine not having to use any nail polish remover before using any other colour? What about that last-minute appointment to your manicurist, especially when you have an event to attend/look good for?
In an explainer video by the ambassador of iPolish, there are quite a number of steps to follow before you get your nails looking good, colourful, and as genuine as possible to the ones you get from your favourite manicurist. First, use a magic wand/power bank-like device to connect with the relevant, corresponding app on your iPhone. Once it connects, you may apply your favourite colours to the wand. You may then send the colour palette to the wand and let it sync. Once the syncing happens and is complete, you may stick the tip of your nail into the wand, which will open up the menu to the first colour. There are 400 colours to choose from. Best of all, it’s on-demand, you can change colours repeatedly until you’re satisfied. It’s useful for those who need to match their nail colour(s) with their clothing for the day, or if you ever need to attend different events on the same day, and prefer to show up with different nail colours to match with the theme or dress code.
With your traditional polish, you’ll have bottles of different colours of nail polish, whereas this is clearly accessible on-screen.
If you don’t mind adhesive pre-made acrylics on your nails, then this might be something to consider.
Do note that the technology to power this shift is not new – it’s what you can typically find in your e-readers. The reason it took longer to fully come into fruition is because the developer, company thought it may end up looking like digital art instead. Then again, who knew that it turned out like the ones done by your manicurist?
Not only does iPolish last until your nail grows out, it is also cruelty-free and a non-chemical option.
Set to launch in the summer of 2026, it is now available for pre-order in the US.
