What do you get when a popular US entertainment conglomerate combines live-action film, traditional animation and computer-generated imagery? A film that’s worth watching for its clever twists, appealing to the whole family. And that’s how the 2007 film enchanted many.
Now that I look back, I realise that the film is indeed both a self-parody and homage to many of the firm’s previous works, with references to its well-known animated features.
Fans of the film would not want to miss out on the sequel titled ‘Disenchanted’, set for release in 2022 via an up-and-coming streaming platform.
The latest release will see cast members including Patrick Dempsey, Susan Sarandon, and Idina Menzel, who will be reprising their roles. New faces include Jayma Mays and Yvette Nicole Brown.
Sources reveal that Patrick Dempsey will also make his singing debut in the sequel.
